A biotech CEO who runs clinical programs and a scientist who built 81 patents — both have personally hit the research synthesis wall that SMOS is designed to break. Two founders, two worlds, one problem.
Laila has spent the past decade building and running deeptech startups in the biomedical space. As CEO of aKen Medical, she manages fundraising, regulatory affairs, and clinical development — the exact workflows that SMOS is designed to accelerate. She is not an advisor, she is the operator.
Tijani built SMOS because he needed it. After 20 years managing a 48-member research lab, co-inventing 81 patents, and authoring 250+ publications, he still had no tool to systematically track which research directions were advancing his goals and which were dead ends. He is the ICP.
